Yahoo Plans to Test Graphical Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Ads

ClickZ News reports that Yahoo! is planning tests of graphical banner ads to be displayed on its pay-per-click (ppc) contextual ad network.

Yahoo already displays pay-per-click text ads.  Recently, Yahoo purchased Overture, a leader in ppc search engine marketing.  This new feature would allow advertisers to incorporate graphics into their pay-per-click advertising.

This is still in the testing stage, with details still to be worked out, but it's an interesting development for Internet marketers to watch.
