WordPress Blog Upgrade Includes Important Security Fix

If you use the popular WordPress blogging software for your blog, there is a new upgrade that includes an important security fix.  Secunia issued a security advisory today for an unspecified security vulnerability that affects Wordpress 1.x.

WordPress blog users are advised to upgrade to the new WordPress 1.5.1 release that was issued May 9, 2005.  In addition to fixing the security hole, WordPress 1.5.1 offers new functionality including more API hooks and a theme system as well as fixes for over 170 bugs in the popular blogging software.
